Laid Off

I’ve had four jobs since my last post.

When I wrote my last post, I worked at Gogo Business Aviation. Shortly after that, I left to work at a place called Webroot. That got bought by a company called Open Text that I rather did not enjoy working for, so I tried the startup world at a place called Unsupervised. Six weeks into that, my boss quit and I was suddenly the acting Head Of Engineering, reporting to the CEO.

My ego loved that but I did not. I did the unthinkable and joined a social media firm called Twitter.

Made it seven months before Elon Musk bought it and immediately fired me.

Four jobs. Three Years. Not how I planned it out. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh, one thing amusing about that last post – Alien Invasion Please! – is that it was about some unifying threat that could make the United States band together and fight As One. Destroy partisanship and make the United States United Again.

Kind of like COVID should have. But it didn’t and I’ve now come to the conclusion that unification is impossible. There is no possibility of that given the path we’re on.

So maybe we stop trying. If we can’t unite, let’s divide. Divide and see what happens.

I mean, the current way is not working – let’s try something radical, shall we?
